The old man and his pray
They once asked an old man: What do you get by “praying to God regularly”?
He replied:
“ I usually “ don’t win anything ” but “ I lose things.”
And he mentioned everything he lost by praying to God regularly:
– I lost my pride.
– I have lost my arrogance.
– I have lost my greed
– I have lost envy.
– I lost my anger
– I have lost lust.
– I have lost the pleasure of lying
– I have lost the taste for sin.
– I have lost my impatience, desperation and discouragement.
Sometimes we pray, not to win something, but to lose things that do not allow us to grow spiritually.
Prayer educates, strengthens and heals.
Prayer is the channel that connects us directly with
God!
