Lord God, Father of us all,
these grandchildren of ours
that we present to you
You know them and you know how much we love them. They are our children’s children.
They are often a source of joy and wonder for us.
For this we give you thanks.
But sometimes, they also cause worry and anguish.
Protect them.
Without You, we can do nothing.
But we know and believe,
that You are the Master of the impossible.
We pray to you, Lord,
lead them on your paths
where you wait for them
and teach us patience, humility and love,
just as your son taught them to us.
He sends your angels to guard and protect them.
